Itinerary: Hanoi – Pu Luong Natural Reserve – Ban Hang – Kho Muong villages – Nua and Hin villages – Son village – Ton village – Hanoi – Ba Be National Park – Cao Bang – Hanoi.

DETAIL ITINERARY

Day 1: Hanoi – Pu Luong – Tan Phuc – Trek to Ban Hang (-/ Lunch/ Dinner)

We depart from your hotel in Hanoi at 7:30am to Pu Luong Natural Reserve. Arrive Phuc Tan village at around 11:00 AM, we will start the trek for approximately 2 hours; we will arrive in Hang Village. Lunch will be served on the way. Spend the night with a local Thai family in a traditional house built on stilts. Take rest for few minutes then we will stroll around the village to observe daily life activities of the locals. Tonight we will have dinner and overnight in stilt house of white Thai minority people in Hang village.

Day 2: Ban Hang – Trek to Kho Muong Village (Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)

After breakfast in the home-stay, we will start our trekking day. In the morning, we will walk for around 6 hours on a rocky path running through jungle.

Lunch will be served in a village along the way.

After lunch, we will pass through several Thai villages before arriving at the village of Kho Muong.

Tonight we will have dinner and stay the second night in a Muong minority village.

Day 3: Kho Muong village – Trek to Cao Hoong Village (Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)

Today we will have a full day trek as we climb to the Pu Luong range. En route pass through a number of small hamlets and minority villages. After 3 hours of light ascent, descend to the village of Cao Hoong, a village of Thai ethnic minority people and have local lunch.

In the afternoon, take rest in the stilt house and strolling around the Cao Hoong village.

Tonight we will spend the third night in stilt house of Thai minority village.

Day 4: Cao Hoong – Trek to Cao Village (Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)

After breakfast, we will start our trek to Cao village. Have an around 6 hours trek through the verdant countryside. The trek path runs uphill and downhill through forest, rice terraces and scenic villages.

Our lunch will be served in Local family in a Thai village on the way to Cao village.

Arrive in Cao village in the afternoon; take rest and walking around Cao village. Tonight we will have dinner and spend the fourth night in the Thai village of Cao.

Day 5: Cao Village – Canh Nang Town – Pho Doan – Hanoi (Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)

After breakfast, we will trek toward Ma River. The trek is quite gentle since we descend a wide-open valley. After 2 hours trek, we will reach Pho Doan Town where we visit to the local market. Following, trek Ma River, on the way see nice view of river, paddies and water wheel.

Back to Pho Doan town, our driver will pick us up and transfer back to Hanoi.

Day 6: Hanoi – Ba Be National Park Trekking (Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)

Departing Hanoi at 8 a.m we embark on a route up into mountain areas north of Hanoi, onwards to Ba Be Lake National Park, one of the largest natural lakes in Vietnam, home to many kinds of birds, scenic valleys, towering rocky outcrops, underground river tributaries, a gigantic cave and local ethnic minorities, including the Tay, Red Dao and Hmong.

Following an exploration of a spectacular cave, we stroll along the riverfront. The night is spent with a local family in the traditional house of a Tay family to experience their way of life.

Day 7: Ba Be National Park Trekking (Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)

The day begins with a morning hike in the park, we descend into the scenic valley, home to the Tay minority people and encircled by rock formations. In the afternoon we cross the rolling hills and pass Hmong and Red Dao villages.
The scenery is extraordinary, with rural farmland, and rugged mountains jutting out of the tangled jungle growth. We end our day in the park’s headquarters, where we spend the night at a comfortable guesthouse.

Day 8: Ba Be National Park – Cao Bang Trekking (Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)

The day begins by driving to the border town of Ta Lung, in an area marked by massive limestone cliffs jutting out of the rice fields, spotted by scenic hill tribe hamlets.

We begin our adventure with a trek. We trek for 15 km, with breathtaking scenery, staying in simple village accommodation with our friendly hosts of the Tay ethnic minority people.

Day 9: Cao Bang Trekking (Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)

Another serious day’s trekking through several minority hamlets. We stop for lunch at the village of Dong Khe before venturing on to the Red Dao settlement of Pac Khoang.

The following day we cover a 17 km trek to the Tay village of Na Pang where we stay overnight. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included).

Day 10: Cao Bang Trekking – Hanoi (Breakfast/ Lunch/-)

This morning we take a short hike through some villages. Following lunch in a local restaurant, we drive back to Hanoi; arriving there at around 5pm. (Breakfast and lunch are included).
