Itinerary
Cam Thanh village covers an area of 4 ha and located around 35km from Hoi An old town. During the Vietnam war, Cam Thanh was the shelter for local people and soldiers. Nowadays, this place is the main supply of seafood for the area, and a newly discovered gem of Hoian tourism. Coming to Cam Thanh, you may earn a chance to go fishing in local way with bamboo coracle in tranquil coconut palm waterways. It is fantastic to learn how to paddle them. Join the tour to get some insights of Vietnamese culture. On this tour, we provide an authentic social and cultural insight into the Vietnamese local way of life. As well you will take part in some hands-on activities that are fun, safe and interesting to people of all ages.
Detailed Itinerary
Bike distance: 10 km with normal bicycle
08:00 The guide will meet you at your hotel. Start the day by visiting bicycle to Tra Que village.
08:30 Walk around the vegetable village and join in daily activities with local farmers
09:30 Continue to cycle along De Vong River to reach Hoi An Beach wharf
10:00 Embark the boat to Cua Dai estuary, watch and learn how to cast fishing net with local fishermen
11:00 Continue to visit Cam Thanh, the village of water coconut and stroll around in fresh air and rustic settings
11:20 Get in basket boats and paddle along the small canal in the village, local fisherman will teach you how to catch the crabs (02 paxs/ boat). We will play a little game by dividing our group into 2 teams for basket boat racing and crab catching. Prepared for a lot of fun and there will be a lovely present for the winner.
12:20 Embark the boat, listen to the folk songs sung by local people and take a rest
12:30 For lunch, you can enjoy specialties of the local cuisine as pancakes, spring rolls Huu Tam, Fried Fish. After lunch, you will have a good time making cool things of water coconut leaf with instruction from local children, that’s their favorite game and toys.
14:00 On the way back to Hoian old town, experience the waterfront life along Thu Bon River
15:00 Arrive at Bach Dang wharf, disembark and cycle back to your hotel. End of our service.
