Itinerary

On this special honeymoon trip you will discover the beauty of northern Vietnam. This week long tour will take you through the historic capital Hanoi, stunning Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba Island, finishing up with a trip to the mountainous hill town and villages of Sapa. This trip from mountain to the bay provides a constant change of scenery ensuring there is never a dull moment. These  charming locales are bound to provide the romantic ambience for an enjoyable honeymoon trip.

Day 1: Arrival Hanoi (D)

Arrival at Noi Bai airport, the tour guide will meet and transfer us to hotel. In the evening, we have welcome dinner at a fine restaurant in the city. Overnight in Hanoi

 

Day 2: Hanoi Half Day City Tour – Sapa (B)

Today we will have half day city tour in the afternoon. We will visit Temple of Literature, Originally built as a temple to Confucius, this is the site of Vietnam’s first university dating back to 1070. The temple highlights the importance that Vietnamese society placed then and now on education. Then we will visit one of the most interesting museums in Vietnam, Museum of Ethnology, which is widely acknowledged as the best in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 Ethnic minority people. Following by thatwe will have chance to enjoy the unique Water Puppet show to hear to know Vietnamese traditional instruments and singing from the live musicians who play throughout the show. Finally the tour guide will take us to railway station for the train to Lao Cai. Overnight on the train to Lao Cai

 

Day 3: Sapa – Cat Cat Village (B/L)

The tour guide will meet us at railway station. We come back to hotel and refresh before having breakfast at a local restaurant. After having breakfast we are ready to explore Sapa town. We embark on a lovely walking tour to the hill tribe village of Cat Cat, home of the H’Mong hill tribe minority people. As we walk to the villages nestled in the valley below Sapa we will meet some of the local minority people on their way to and from Sapa. Here we have the opportunity to share cultural experiences with families that live in the area. Overnight in Sapa

Day 4: Sapa Free Day (B)

Today we have a free day to relax. Overnight in Sapa

 

Day 5: Sapa – visiting market – Hanoi (B/L)

Today we go to visit the market in Bac Ha after breakfast at hotel.

Depending on the date of arrival, explore the bustling Bac Ha Market on Sunday, Can Cau Market on Saturday, Sin Cheng Market on Wednesday and Coc Ly Market on Tuesday.

The Can Cau and Bac Ha markets, in particular, feature local scenes that have been going on every week for generations, where cattle, horses, goats and dogs are bought and sold, as well as many traditional goods like saddles and plowshares, along with elaborate textiles, handbags and other trinkets made by the local tribes people, the Flower Hmong. Their intricately woven daily costume is one of the main drawing points in itself. This is an incredibly beautiful part of Vietnam.

In the afternoon, enjoy a trek through Ban Pho villages 1 and 2, located a few miles from the hotel. These villages are nestled into a cozy valley with a stunning landscape. Ban Pho corn whiskey is a must for all H’Mong men who visit the weekly market.

Arrive in Lao Cai before taking the overnight train to Hanoi.

 

Day 6: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)

The tour guide will meet and transfer us to a hotel to relax and have breakfast.

At 8am in the morning you will drive to Halong Bay, approximately 3.5 hours away. At Tuan Chau port, we get aboard on a boat cruise and enjoy the lunch with enjoying some interesting activities there as swimming, taking part in Cooking Class, visiting the fishing village so on. We have dinner at 6.30pm and have a romantic night on the cruise. Overnight on the cruise on Halong Bay    

 

Day 7: Halong Bay – Cat Ba Island (B/L/D)

Today we visit Surprise Cave & have a cycling tour for 5km then we enjoy kayaking for 1.5 hour. We come to Cat Ba Island and have dinner there. Overnight at hotel in Cat Ba Island

 

Day 8: Cat Ba Island – Hanoi (B/L)

We have breakfast before visiting Lan Ha Bay. Then we come back the cruise and have brunch before we get back the port. We come back to hotel about 5pm. Overnight in Hanoi

 

Day 9: Hanoi Departure (B)

We enjoy your free time until transfer to the airport for your onward flight. End of services!

  • Entrance Fees: To scenic spots as listed in the itinerary.
  • Meals: Vietnamese Normal Food - All meals as specified in the itinerary.
  • Private Transfers: Transfers between airports, hotels and scenic spots while sightseeing by private air conditioned vehicle with a driver and English-speaking guide (as listed above).
  • Guide:As outlined in the itinerary an English-speaking guide and driver will be provided in each city they will remain with you throughout your time in that city. A new guide and a new driver will meet you at each city on your tour, to provide you with the best local knowledge available.
  • Hotels: Hotel fees are based on two people sharing one room with Double beds.
    All hotels as listed in the above itinerary serve daily Western or Vietnamese breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.

Price Exclusions

  • Excess Baggage Charges. Passengers holding an adult fare or half fare ticket are entitled to a free baggage allowance of 20kg, for economy class. Total weight of carryon baggage for each passenger may not exceed 5kg. The size may not exceed 20x40x 55cm.
  • Personal Expenses: Expenses of a purely personal nature such as laundry, drinks, fax, telephone calls, optional activities, sightseeing or meals which are not included in the tour itinerary.
