Halong bay – The Bay of the Descending Dragon, explore the towering limestone pillars and tiny islets topped by forest rise from the emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. Phong Nha National Park – Explore Phong Nha cave and En Cave System’s untamed jungle & limestone mountain region. This is well-known as the home of the Hollywood blockbuster movie Kong: Skull Island (2017) which is listed as the best war movie of the year by ABC News.

DETAIL ITINERARY:

Day 1/Hanoi Arrival – City Tour – Water Puppet (-/L/D)

Upon your arrival in Hanoi, our guide and driver will pick you up at the International Airport and transfer to your hotel in the Old Quarter for check-in and relax.

Check-in time: 12:00 AM.

12:30: Meet our tour guide and driver again then drive for lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch, we will visitLiterature Temple in the Ancient Emperor Citadel Thang Long area (Unesco World Heritage Site)

Then there will be sightseeing around Old Quarter ein cyclo (bicycle taxi), with stops at Legendary Hoan Kiem Lake – Hanoi’s famous symbol. Before dinner, enjoy Mua roi nuoc

Thang Long – Water puppet show.

In the evening there will be a welcome dinner with local specialties.

Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2/Hanoi – NinhBinh – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc (B/L/D)

Pick you up at 8.30 Am at hotel. Arrive in HoaLu,we will visit Hoa Lu – The Ancient Capital and the remaining two temples of Dinh King & Le King.  We will arrive in Tam Coc (Three Grottoes). Visit HoaLu, around 16 km from Tam Coc by car, Take some steps to climb up the viewpoint to take photo of Hoa Lu panorama, charmed by the marvelous scenery offered by the mountains, rivers and temple, from here We can take the car or moving to Tam Coc by bike. Take a bike then cycle along the village roads with beautiful sightseeing and friendly local people.

Then drive in 30 minutes move to Tam Coc grottoes, have lunch at Vietnamese restaurant with local food (1hr).

After lunch, we will take an exciting boat ride in Tam Coc grottoes(Halong bay inland) that we will enjoy the spectacular scenery while gliding along the river among rice paddies and ranges of limestone mountains peaking up towers over you(2 hrs).

Transfer to back to our hotel in NinhBinh. Dinner will be served at local restaurant. Overnight in NinhBinh.

Day 3/ NinhBinh – Van Long Nature Reserve – NinhBinh – Hanoi (B/L/D)

After breakfast at hotel, we will depart to visit Van Long Nature Reserve. The highlight of the trip is Tap Ninh lagoon. Taking a boat on the lagoon and going into the cave, we will find the surface of the still water like a giant mirror, reflecting the blue sky and white clouds and the grandeur of the limestone. Underwater living creatures such as weeds, perches, sailfish, etc. can be seen through the clear water. Going deep into the cave, we will see Delacour’slangurs (a rare animal species in danger of extinction). Van Long was recognized in 2010 as the place with more Delacour’slangurs than anywhere else in Viet Nam. The reserve has the typical features of the tropical monsoon climate surrounded by caves, forest, and food for Delacour’slangurs, which is the reason why the species has chosen to live here.

Our lunch will be served at local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we will visit Phat Diem stone cathedral. Phat Diem Cathedral was built between 1875 and 1899 with four roofs and six sets of iron wooden pillars, and consists of a number of ponds, lakes, churches, and artificial caves.

On both sides of the church are four smaller churches of different styles. Phuong Dinh Church, part of the Phat Diem complex, is a giant building entirely made of stone. Numerous stone sculptures are on the inside and outside walls. A large bell cast in the 1890s weighing nearly 2 tons is found in the bell tower.

After visiting Van Long Nature reserve and Phat Diem stone cathedral, we will drive back to Hanoi.

Day 4/ Hanoi– Flight to Halong Bay with Seaplane  (B/L/D)

Hai Au buggy to pick you up and drop off at Emeraude Cruise Cafe for check-in

Day 6/ Hanoi – Flight to QuangBinh – Dong Hoi – Phong Nha Cave – Dong Hoi  (B/L/D)

After breakfast at hotel, be picked up and transfer to Noi Bai airport, take a short flight to Dong Hoi. Arrive Dong Hoi Airport, be picked up and transfer to hotel for check-in. After check-in hotel, take a short rest then meet up our tour guide and driver again, then following Ho Chi Minh trail to explore National Park core zone. We will visit Phong Nha caves (50 km about the city, 45 minutes driving). After 30 minutes on boat, visitors will arrive Phong Nha cave, take a couple hours to see the cave. This cave is called as water cave, is famous for its rock formation which has been given names such as the “Lion”, the “Fairy Caves”, the “Royal Court”, and the “Buddha”.

Lunch at Son Doong restaurant.

In the late afternoon: Turn back to Dong Hoi city and get free time to relax and having dinner in Dong Hoi.

Overnight in Dong Hoi.

Day 7/ Dong Hoi – En Cave  (B/L/D)

07:30am Our tour guide will meet you in hotels of Dong Hoi. If you are in Phong Nha village (Son Trach commune), you will be picked up at 08:30am – 09:00am then keep going to Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park to discover Hang En (Swallow cave) – the world second larggest cave. It takes around hour to arrive Phong Nha village where we can meet the porters who are billiant people and very friendly and honest.

We will reach Doong Mountain Village, a secluded village in jungle. 42 people live in here and it is very photogenic. Please bring some sweets as gifts for the children who are very poor. Usually stop for a rest here to meet the villager who live in the jungle. From here you continue to a lager river where will have picnic lunch. After lunch we begin a trek through jungle toward En Cave (SwallowCave). We reach En Cave, a beautiful cave with over 2km in length and more than 100 metter high. We will explore the cave, taking photo then set our camp near a stream. You will camp in the smaller entrance 80m x 10m overight here next river. The guides will cook food and look after you in this super camp site, have dinner and sleep in tent.

Day 8/ En Cave – Dong Hoi(B/L/D).

08:30 Breakfast at the campsite before we trek toward Doong Mountain Village where we have lunch break before driving to Dong Hoi at 04:00pm – 04:30pm. Check-in BaoNinh Beach Resort.

Overnight in Dong Hoi.

Day 9/ Dong Hoi – Hanoi/Saigon Departure (B/-/-)

After breakfast at BaoNinh Resort, you will be met our Green Discovery’s tour guide and driver again for transferring to Dong Hoi Airport, take the flight to Hanoi/ Saigon.

Vietnam visa service

Visitors must obtain visa approval prior to entry. The procedure is as follows:

(1) Passport details and arrival and departure dates are sent to us not later than 14 days before passengers’ departure to Vietnam. (Customer can send through email or fax, we need: full name in passport, gender, date of birth, passport number, expiry date, nationality, occupation, the first international airport (Hanoi or HCMC) where customers arrive, flight detail)

(2) We submit details to the Immigration Department.

(3) The Immigration Department sends us the original visa approval document.

(4) We send customer a copy of the approval document via email (Note: All customers need this paper to get onboard for flight to Vietnam)

(5) Each customer needs passport + 2 passport-sized photos + USD45 (in cash USD) to get the visa stamp.
